Unfortunately, we are not able to provide an estimate over the phone. Pricing is not only determined by the type of tree but also the location, surrounding areas, ease of access, growth patterns, stability and structure, as well as other factors such as driveway, road, house and wire locations.

Yes, we are typically able to offer better pricing during the winter months. The lack of leaves, as well as the frozen ground, can lead to jobs taking less time than at other times of the year - and we pass those savings on to you!

The best timing for tree work really depends on the type of tree. But, generally speaking, pruning is best done when the tree is dormant which typically is during the winter months.

No. We often do work when people are not home. We typically will mark the trees so that it is clear what work should be done. We’re often told that people know we were there because it’s cleaner than they left it.

We do our best to meet any deadlines that you may have. Our goal is to book a little thin to leave room for emergency and/or time-sensitive jobs. We do our best not to push people back. By booking a little thin we are often able to pull jobs forward and get them done sooner if people are flexible. The scheduling times can vary throughout the year.

The length of time required to properly and safely complete tree work will vary based on a lot of factors. Until we see the tree(s) and the job site, we can't give you a realistic estimate for that. We will definitely discuss timing with you during and/or after an estimate is completed.

We are fully insured with liability insurance that specifically covers tree work, as well as Workers Compensation insurance. We're happy to provide proof of coverage upon request.

The best option for you will depend on what you would like to do with the area where the tree was. If you want to plant another tree in the area, we recommend removing the stump (rather than grinding it). This will remove more of the root system from the old tree to make room for the new tree to grow. We do not do stump removal. Stump grinding will allow you to plant grass and small plants in the area but does not remove as much of the old root system. As a result, we don't recommend planting a new tree in the same spot. When we started in 2002, we used to be able to sell the wood we removed from customers' properties. But, over the years, what we made from selling wood and wood chips dwindled down to nothing. Then for the first time in 2018 we started to be charged for disposing of wood and chips. This is largely due to the dwindling number of sawmills and processing plants in our area. If you are willing to have us leave the wood and/or the chips left over after work is completed, we're able to offer you a better price for the work.

If we are leaving the wood on your property, we typically leave it in 6 to 8 foot lengths. This is the normal length of wood that's cut as part of a tree removal job. Unfortunately, we do have to charge extra for anything smaller due to extra time, labor, gas and equipment use.
